Early Polish Language Program

Preschool/Kindergarten age (3–5 years old)

Our Early Polish Language Program brings together children from both Polish-speaking and mixed-language homes in a warm, playful environment designed especially for early learners. Through songs, movement, stories, and imaginative play, children are gently introduced to the Polish language while naturally building listening and speaking skills. The program focuses on early language development, social interaction, and joyful exploration of Polish culture, helping young children form a positive connection with the language and their heritage from the very beginning.

Polish as a Second Language

Grade 1–3 (6–8 years old)

Our Polish as a Second Language Program is designed for children who have one Polish-speaking parent but little to no ability to speak Polish. This program introduces students to the Polish language in a fun, supportive, and engaging environment. Lessons focus on building basic vocabulary, simple sentence structures, and everyday conversation skills through games, songs, stories, and interactive activities. The goal is to help children gradually develop confidence in speaking and understanding Polish while fostering a connection to their Polish heritage.

Native Polish Language

Grade 1–3 (6–8 years old)

Our Polish Native Language Program is designed for children who come from Polish-speaking homes and wish to continue developing their Polish as they begin their education in the English-speaking Canadian school system. The program supports students in strengthening their reading, writing, and communication skills in Polish while nurturing a connection to Polish culture, literature, and traditions. Through engaging lessons and age-appropriate activities, children build confidence using Polish in both spoken and written form, helping them maintain and enrich their bilingual abilities.

Supporting Your Child’s Success: Class Placement

Our preschool program is designed for both Polish-speaking and non-Polish-speaking children. At ages 3–5, children absorb language and social skills very quickly, and we believe that learning together in a mixed environment is highly beneficial for all students.

For our Polish as a Second Language (PSL) and Native Polish Language (NPL) programs, initial class placement is based on parent-reported language ability, along with a teacher’s assessment. Our goal is to support every child’s success and confidence, which means placement is not based solely on age, but on each child’s overall readiness.

To ensure the best learning experience, we reserve the right to adjust class placement over time based on a child’s comfort level as well as their social and emotional development within the group.
